Fabian Espindola and Paulo Araujo were on the scoresheet as Real Salt Lake recorded a 2-0 win over the New York Red Bulls at Rio Tinto Stadium.

Argentine Espindola made it two goals in as many games when he got on the end of an Araujo pass and blasted a shot through the legs of Ryan Meara on 40 minutes.

Araujo netted the second on the hour mark as Real Salt Lake moved top of the Western Conference.

Meanwhile, Sporting Kansas City were comfortable 3-0 winners against a 10-man New England Revolution.
