German top-flight club Borussia Mönchengladbach have turned heads with the reveal of their 2019/20 home kit, with the distinctive jersey featuring an eye-catching smoke graphic inspired by the fan pyro displays which have been a feature of home games throughout this campaign.

Ahead of their massive final-matchday clash with Borussia Dortmund which could secure Champions League qualification for next season, Mönchengladbach have unveiled their new home strip as a dedication to the passion of their fans who light up Borussia-Park.

Puma’s design team have nailed this one, with the primarily white jersey featuring an incredible green and black rising smoke graphic which dominates the bottom half of the shirt and its sleeves.

However, what could have potentially been one of the best kits released heading into the 2019/20 season has once again been tarnished by the arch-nemesis of beautiful jersey designs –  the dreaded sponsor’s logo.

Much of the online reaction from fans has focused on the glaring presence of Postbank’s jarring bright yellow front-of-shirt sponsorship logo, which feels completely out of place on the otherwise super-attractive jersey.

Mönchengladbach’s 2019/20 home kit, which is finished off with white shorts and socks, will be debuted against Dortmund this Saturday, May 18.
