Derby defender Darren Moore believes the team's promotion will only sink in when they see next season's fixture list.
The Rams yesterday clinched promotion to the top flight of English football with a 1-0 win over West Brom in the Coca-Cola Championship play-off final at Wembley.
And influential 33-year-old defender Moore acknowledged the achievement has not yet fully registered with him.
Speaking on an open-top bus parading around the city's streets tonight, the former West Brom, Portsmouth and Bradford defender admitted: "It's not quite sunk in yet.
"But when the fixtures come out in June (June 14) it will hit home that we are back amongst the elite."
Moore, who spent four and a half years at The Hawthorns prior to moving to Pride Park in January last year, feels for his former team - and believes they can bounce back stronger after yesterday's heart-breaking setback.
He added on Sky Sports News: "West Brom had a great season and gave us a tough game yesterday.
"I'm sure they can regroup and go for it again next season."
