VETERAN Australian defender Craig Moore admits the Socceroos face a tough task to win two virtual 'grand finals' to get out of Group D but hopes the team can do the nation proud.
Following the Socceroos' 4-0 humiliation at the hands of Germany, Moore knows Australia must defeat both Ghana on Saturday and Serbia on Wednesday to progress.
"For us now it's two grand finals," Moore told The West Australian. "Hopefully we can go out and do ourselves proud because we know we've got fantastic support."
Moore, though, acknowledges Ghana - fresh from a 1-0 win over Serbia - will be very difficult in defeat in Rustenburg.
"They're a very good side. We are certainly going to be up against it," he said.
The former Brisbane Roar skipper goes into the Ghana game a yellow card away from a one-match suspension after picking up a booking against the Germans, but says isn't about to change his approach.
Moore added: "I can't go into games thinking if I get another yellow card I'm suspended. If we get beat next game we're out of the tournament.
"You don't go in there thinking about anything other than trying to get a positive result. If you are thinking about suspensions you are thinking about the wrong things."
Lucas Neill and Carl Valeri also go into the Ghana game on yellow cards.
