EUROROO WRAP: Craig Moore’s Greek Cup winning hopes took a hit this morning with Kavala going down 3-1 at Aris Saloniki in the first leg of the semi final.
Moore was amongst the best players for his side but they face an uphill battle and must improve in the return leg.
In the Belgian Cup, Nikita Rukavystya came on for the last quarter of an hour in Roeselare's 3-0 defeat at Cercle Bruges.
It is the first time Roeselare has been in the semi-final of the cup competition and has a heavy deficit to overcome in the second leg.
In Scotland's First Division, Ryan McGowan put in a full shift as Ayr United drew 1-1 at home to FC Dundee.
McGowan let himself down with a poor first touch in a goal-scoring position on 19 minutes, before unleashing a shot from 25 yards on the hour mark that narrowly deflected out.
It leaves Ayr United just outside the relegation zone in eighth.
Meanwhile Simon Storey put in a full shift for Airdrie United in a 2-1 loss at Greenock Morton.
His teammate Frank Lagana was an unused substitute, while Morton's Erik Paartalu came on in the 72nd minute.
The First Division strugglers are in the bottom two positions on the table.
Elsewhere Spase Dilevski was substituted as Craiova lost 2-1 at Gloria Bistrita in Romania's Liga 1.
He came off in the 68th minute after a relatively poor performance. Craiova is in the relegation zone in Romania, two points away from safety.
