Aaron Mooy and Jason Davidson played their part as Huddersfield knocked off Mathew Leckie’s Ingolstadt 1-0 in a pre-season friendly overnight.
Mooy started and played 84 minutes for Town in another impressive performance in midfield, with a strong defensive display in front of the back four.
The 25-year-old midfielder’s distribution was good in attack, while he helped begin a move which saw Jonathan Hogg hit the woodwork.
Leckie only played the first half for the Bundesliga outfit and had a chance on 37 minutes where his low cross was cut out by the Town keeper.
Davidson was an 84th minute substitute at full back.
Huddersfield begins its Championship season next Saturday against Brentford.
The Bundesliga season doesn’t begin until late in August, with Ingolstadt’s opener against Hamburg SV on Saturday 27 August.
