Mooy dominated the A-League in the 2015/2016 season with Melbourne City, scoring 11 goals in 26 appearances.

The midfielder then secured a move to the UK with Huddersfield Town and has now helped the club snatch an unlikely promotion place into the Premier League.

On Monday he nailed a penalty in the 4-3 penalty shootout win at Wembley that sent the Terriers up.

Mooy has thrived at Huddersfield Town, playing a pivotal part in their amazing campaign, and was named in both the PFA and EFL Championship Teams of the Year.

He believes there are other players in the A-League who can make a similar impact in England like he has.

"There's definitely players in the A-League who have quality," Mooy told FourFourTwo.

"It's just the difference is mentally, how much mentally [they want it]... because the amount of games, the competitiveness of the games, the pressure. It's 10 times [in comparison].

"There's lots of talented players in the A-League. Until they go and find out they if they can do it in a higher league than you never know. But I'm sure there will be."

Mooy's agent is currently in Manchester in discussion with Manchester City about the Socceroo's future.

He seems set to be sold by the Blues to a Premier League rival, with a number of clubs interested in acquiring the 26-year old.
