Aaron Mooy's side have recorded three draws and five losses so far and remain in 18th spot and in the relegation zone.

Huddersfield dominated possession against Burnley with 68% and had a staggering 19 shots to six, and 10 corners to one, but a lack of finishing again proved costly.

The Clarets took the lead in the 20th minute through a Sam Vokes header.

The Terriers continued to press for an equaliser, with Mooy glancing Erik Durm's cross over the bar on 53 minutes.

It finally came in the 65th minute with a Christopher Schindler header.

But Huddersfield could not find a winner at Turf Moor.

"We dominated the game, so I’m happy with the performance," Terriers manager David Wagner said.

"We deserved at least a point, but usually we should win this. We have to accept that we came from a goal down, got a point and performed very well. the only down is that we could not put the ball in the net again, but Burnley made so many blocks.

"We have another 30 games to go and after these recent performances, I’m so convinced that the wins will come."
