Socceroos skipper Mile Jedinak earned more game-time for Aston Villa overnight ahead of next week's 2018 World Cup intercontinental play-off against Honduras.
Jedinak was a 67th minute substitute in Villa's 2-0 away win over Preston North End on Thursday morning (AEDT).
The 33-year-old had returned from injury as a 60th minute substitute in Villa's 0-0 draw with Birmingham City on Sunday.
Jedinak earned praise from boss Steve Bruce upon his return on Sunday, before being named in the final 25-man Socceroos squad to face Honduras on Tuesday.
The result lifts Villa up to fifth on the Championship table.
Jedinak has one more chance for game-time ahead of international duty, when Villa host Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday.
