Internazionale boss Jose Mourinho has seemingly abandoned his hopes of signing Frank Lampard from Chelsea this summer but claims he is "100% sure" the midfielder will make the move in 12 months' time.
The arrival of Deco at Chelsea last night appeared to suggest Lampard's future may lie away from Stamford Bridge as rumours continue about the England midfielder.
However, former Blues boss Mourinho is quoted by The Sun today admitting it is unlikely the 30-year-old will be at the San Siro any time soon.
"This season? I don't think so," Mourinho said.
"Why won't he? Well, it's not because we don't want him to, but I'm sure Chelsea and Chelsea's officials don't want to sell him.
"However for the next season it will be easier for him to join me at Inter.
"I'm 100% sure in 2009/2010 he will be playing here."
