Demba Ba says the Chelsea players are already excited about the prospect of Jose Mourinho succeeding Rafael Benitez.
Portuguese coach Mourinho is reportedly on the verge of rejoining Chelsea after confirming his departure from Real Madrid at the end of the season.
Speaking after the club's 4-3 friendly defeat to Manchester City on Thursday, in which he scored the opener, Ba spoke of his excitement at the prospect of Mourinho returning to Stamford Bridge.
"You see what he has won, what he has brought to his teams and to his players individually - and of course he is one of the best," he told Sky Sports.
"He knows everything about Chelsea, having already managed the team for three or four years. He knows everybody here and he knows the club.
"Everybody is thinking about it and everybody is happy. They know that he is a person that wants to win."
