Nikica Jelavic scored twice in a collectively superb performance from the hosts, with Marouanne Fellaini and Tim Cahill grabbing the others either side of the break.

The Croatian striker now has 10 goals in 13 appearances for the Merseyside outfit and is just one of several that Moyes has credited with his team's rise in form.

"Well I think that apart from the odd blip, we've played really well, promising since the turn of the year with the arrivals of Darron (Gibson), Steven (Pienaar), Landon (Donovan), Niki (Jelavic)," Moyes said.

"It's made a big difference to us and our form has been as good as any in the Premier League.

"Pienaar's performances have given us the creativity, Niki's given us the goals, Darron's given us a bit of stability, so all of those signings have been a big help.

"But, I thought today people like Leon Osman, Phil Neville, Tony Hibbert, I thought there was a lot of really good performances there and I was able to enjoy the game because the players have got a couple of goals up and we're playing in a good style.

"I (also) have to mention how good the goalkeeper's saves were in the first-half, that deflected one was worldly."

Fulham first-team coach Billy McKinlay, taking charge for the day after Martin Jol was taken ill before the game, was far from pleased after such a poor performance.

"Really disappointing (display). I think Everton thoroughly deserved their win," McKinlay said.

"We started the game poorly, never really got going. If you lose poor goals in the way we did then quite frankly you’re going to get the result you’re looking for.

"The goals are really poor (for us) and they change games early on and it gives them a bit of momentum and they’d been playing quite well, they had their tails up.

"We can't accuse the player of having a lack of fight, you know what you’re going to get here, you know you’re going to get a difficult game, physical, intense game."

The Cottagers came into the game on the back of 10 points from a possible 12, and McKinlay admitted that confidence was high.

"But, we came into the game pretty confident we could get a result, but we'll never get anywhere near the levels we're capable of, it wasn't a particularly good performance from us, we need to do better."
