Moyes' side started the campaign slowly but, following their 1-0 victory over Tottenham on Saturday, have now gone unbeaten in 10 games across all competitions.

The Scot is pleased with the team's current form but insists that he will analyse their poor start during the coming pre-season.

"I still think if we finish in the top 10 it will be a good result for us," Moyes told The Sun. "If this carries on I'll be delighted because it will have meant we have finished the season well.

"But I'll have to get back to the drawing board again to think about pre-season after the way we started the campaign.

"We have dug in and tried to get results and now we are getting results. I'm complaining the performances aren't better. We have come the whole journey at Everton.

"If we win, I want a good performance and if we don't win, I just want to win."

The Everton boss also hailed the performance and goal of Nikica Jelavic, who made his home debut in the victory over Spurs.

"Although I am always grateful for what I've got, I do think his signing gave the whole club and the supporters a boost in January," Moyes said.

"When you are a manager and you see a player you bought score, it gives you a good feeling. I thought he worked hard for the team, he bought into it.

"He looked like a centre forward and produced some really good hold-up play when we got it into him."
