EVERTON manager David Moyes has declared he is not satisfied despite his side going through the pre-season undefeated.
The Blues made it five from five after defeating Norwich City 4-2 on the back of a Tim Cahill hat-trick on Sunday, following friendly wins over A-League clubs Sydney FC, Melbourne Heart and Brisbane Roar, and English Championship side Preston North End.
Despite admitting he is pleased the players are developing a winning attitude, Moyes called on his squad to improve ahead of its English Premier League opener against Blackburn on August 14.
"It's pre-season and it wouldn't have made a great deal of difference if we had won or lost, except I want us to get in the habit (of winning)," Moyes told the club's official website.
"I'm probably more disappointed with our overall performance than in other games but I've worked the players quite hard this week and I knew that there was always the chance that this would be the game where we would dip a little."
Everton led 2-0 at half-time but found itself level with Paul Lambert's side in the 59th minute when Andrew Surman curled the ball past Blues' keeper Tim Howard from inside the box.
Everton pulled away again within seconds through half-time substitute Diniyar Bilyaletdinov before Cahill drove home his third with 19 minutes to go.
Moyes said Norwich proved the Blues' toughest test to date.
"I thought Norwich played well, passed it well and this was their last game before the season starts so it was a lot more competitive than the other games," he said.
"Look, we did fine. We were just too slack at the beginning of the second half. The changes we made really affected us and we gave them one or two opportunities that we shouldn't have."
