Mike Mulvey may have a David vs Goliath battle on his hands, but he won't be weathering the storm alone.
Mulvey's finalised coaching staff consists of former A-League powerhouse midfielder Nick Montgomery, who will take on the role of Mulvey's assistant, along with Ray Junna, David McGinness and Andrew Young.
As fellow assistant coach alongside Montgomery, Junna has extensive experience throughout FFA, the Australian Institute of Sport and Canberra United.
Young, the Mariners' new Head of Performance, has a stellar pedigree working with Fulham FC, Blackburn Rovers, FFA, Adelaide United and clubs in China and Thailand.
Finishing up the star-cast is McGinness, the Mariners' new Physiotherapist who has worked with Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur.
“We’ve finalised the coaching staff for this season which is really important to me,” Mulvey said.
“It’s important that we bring people that add great value – Nick Montgomery coming into the coaching ranks is a great move, he brings the DNA of what it means to be a Central Coast Mariner.
"He’s been here for the success and he’s also been here for some tough times.
“All of these people bring great experience to the table, it will be a very positive group – we’re all on the same page and we really look forward to starting work in early June."
