Victory were handed their fourth loss of the campaign on Friday night after they fell 2-1 to Adelaide United at home.

Besart Berisha failed to convert a spot kick in the first-half and the hosts couldn't take advantage of their numerical advantage when the Reds were reduced to nine men in the final 10 minutes.

The Victory boss would not single out individuals, but assured fans the lapses in concentration would be addressed.

“It’s a lapse of concentration falling into a false sense of security, we get the equaliser and just the understanding of what got us the equaliser, we don’t maintain it,” Muscat said.

“We’re not as aggressive, we’re allowing crosses to come in and they’ve got a body in the box and no one is marking him.

“There was one team going on to win that game and somehow we’ve managed to find a way to lose it.

“The spirit in the group is fine, it’s not an issue. But naturally when you get a result like that at home, I suppose you want to isolate and pinpoint things.

“Let’s be honest, the goals we’re conceding (this season) are either worldies from outside the box in the top corner or just really average and poor decision-making (on our behalf).”

Muscat was adamant he would not be panicking despite having failed to clinch a win at home this season.

“There are things I’ve seen that aren’t going our way we can certainly control and get better at,” he said.

“When that does happen and occur, we’re a good football team. We’ve now got to take responsibility, improve that and show people.

“At the moment it’s a little hit and miss with us and I’m not happy about hit and miss, I want to be consistent and consistently good.”
