Muscat believed Michael Zullo should have been sent off on nine minutes after hauling down Marco Rojas who had got in behind the Sydney FC defence in Victory’s 1-0 loss at Allianz Stadium on Friday night.

Zullo received a yellow card for the foul which occurred just outside the box, with the ball racing away to Sydney keeper Danny Vukovic as Rojas fell.

“There was one glaring incident that is a game changer,” Muscat said.

“It’d be a hell of a lot different if the correct call was made, in my opinion, after nine minutes.

“In Peter Green’s opinion he didn’t think Marco was going to catch a ball, the quickest player on the park.

“We’ll never find out if he would’ve caught the ball or not, but when I ask Marco he said he would’ve got it and he was brought down. That’s life.

“The sooner the video comes in, the better, because Peter needed some help on that decision in my opinion.”

Muscat bemoaned the decision, also expressing his frustration after the last Big Blue at the venue, when David Carney’s handball wasn’t spotted before he scored a crucial goal in Sydney’s 2-1 win.

“That’s twice we’ve been here and big calls have gone against us,” he said.

“Real big calls, game-changing calls. The last time was to get them into the game, a hand ball, and this one after nine minutes.”

He added: “Half of me is thinking it’s predictable and I expected it. Away from home you don’t get those big calls.

“The other half can’t see or believe how it was missed.”

Sydney FC coach Graham Arnold said "justice was done" with the decision as he believed Rojas was offside.

"I've seen it, it was offside," Arnold said.
