FIORENTINA striker Adrian Mutu will be out of action for two weeks with a groin injury suffered during the Champions League 1-1 draw with Bayern Munich on Wednesday.
Mutu, who scored a stunning goal early in the tie, played the full 90 minutes but had a scan the following day which revealed the problem.
"The medical tests performed on Adrian Mutu have revealed a first degree muscular lesion to the adductor," read a brief statement on the club's website.
"We have already started the physiotherapy treatment to allow Mutu to return to action within two weeks."
Mutu, 29, has already missed half of Fiorentina's Serie A games this season with elbow and knee injuries, and is expected to be ruled out of matches against Atalanta and Cagliari.
He will also miss Romania's international friendly with Georgia.
