Shunsuke Nakamura believes Celtic will react to their Champions League exit by beating Rangers in the Bank of Scotland Premier League on Sunday.
The Bhoys lost 1-0 in extra-time against AC Milan at the San Siro on Wednesday to see their hopes of advancing to the last eight of Europe's premier competition come to an end.
Celtic held Milan to a goalless draw in the opening leg at Parkhead a fortnight ago, and showed plenty of courage to take the game to the wire against the six-time European champions.
"We shouldn't be disappointed." said Nakamura. "We have held AC Milan to a goalless draw for 90 minutes.
"It's no shame to lose against AC Milan. We worked really hard, we defended together, and had it not been for a great goal from Kaka, who knows what would have happened.
"Kaka, Andrea Pirlo and Clarence Seedorf are world-class players, and it was great to face them."
Nakamura believes Celtic's impressive Champions League campaign will help his team build for the future.
He added: "In this club, we have young players, players like Aiden [McGeady] and [Evander] Sno, who are bound to improve.
"In comparison to Milan, we are a younger team, and it's great for us to have played eight Champions League games this season. This will only help us in the future."
In the meantime, Celtic could clinch their 41st championship as early as March 18, when they face Falkirk.
They currently have a 19-point advantage over second-placed Rangers and Nakamura is confident his side can quickly wrap up the title.
"We still have the Rangers game, it's a very important game for us and the fans," he said.
"We know that by winning two games we will be champions, and then we have the Scottish Cup [semi-final, against St Johnstone on April 14] to look forward to.
"I want to win every title this season, and I hope I can contribute to help my club achieve it."
