Napoli tonight announced the club has parted ways with coach Edy Reja and replaced him with former Italy boss Roberto Donadoni.
The Partenopei lost 2-0 to Lazio at the weekend, their ninth consecutive game without a win.
The run dates back to their 1-0 victory over Catania in their first game of 2009 and they have since collected just two points.
The club said in a statement: "We have parted company with Edy Reja and appointed Donadoni.
"It is with great pain that we have taken this decision considering Reja's role for the last five seasons with Napoli, during which he guided the club from Serie C to the UEFA Cup."
Donadoni will be unveiled at a press conference tomorrow and is set to sign a two-and-a-half-year contract with his new team.
Napoli are 11th in the standings travel to the Oreste Granillo stadium on Sunday to meet relegation-threatened Reggina.
