Lucas Neill is doubtful for Sunday night's Turkish Super League clash against Genclerbirligi with the Galatasaray defender suffering a slight strain this week.
As a precaution Neill hasn't trained for the last few days with the official Galatasary club website describing the defender as having "pain".
However, Neill's representatives played down the report saying it was nothing more than a strain.
Given Sunday's final game of the season has little significance against mid-table Gencler, Neill may be rested as he looks ahead to the World Cup.
Gala have already qualified for the Europa League and are third in the Turkish Super League on 64 points behind Bursaspor on 72.
Fenerbahce are on the verge of clinching the title one point ahead of Buraspor with a home game this weekend against Trabzonspor.
If Gala decided to rest the former West Ham and Blackburn star, Neill may return to Australia in the next couple of days ahead of joining up with the Socceroos next Wednesday for the clash against New Zealand on May 24.
