LUCAS Neill has joined Turkish giants Galatasaray in a $1.5million dollar deal, just four months after signing for Everton on a free transfer.
The move will see Neill, 31, swapping Socceroo and Toffees teammate Tim Cahill for Harry Kewell alongside him at the SuperLig side.
Neill joined Everton in September after a protracted search for a new club since leaving West Ham at the end on last season in a wage dispute.
He struggled to win a start for the Liverpool-based side after lacking match fitness but an injury crisis at the club opened the door for a regular place, allowing him to notch up 12 starts and three appearances off the bench.
Everton's injury woes are close to an end now though - with key players just weeks away from a return to full fitness - and manager David Moyes has decided to cash in on Neill while he can.
The Socceroo skipper had only asigned a 12 month contract and would have been able to leave for free at the end of the season, making Galatsaray's offer to good to refuse.
Galatsaray confirmed the Australian's capture on their website this morning, saying he had signed an 18 month contract, although that has yet to be confirmed by Everton.
As well as Kewell, Neill joins fellow Aussies Mile Jedinak, Bruce Djite, Michael Petkovic and James Troisi in Turkey.
