MARTIN Demichelis, Ze Roberto and Mark van Bommel are all set to commit themselves to new contracts with Bayern Munich, according to reports in Germany today.
Chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge told the local Tz newspaper that a "fundamental agreement" had been reached with Demichelis to extend his contract beyond the end of the season.
"Martin is staying," proclaimed Rummenigge.
Ze Roberto is also close to extending his deal by a year with Van Bommel reported to be attracted by a similar 12-month rolling contract.
"I think we have reached an agreement," Bayern general manager Uli Hoeness told the Bild newspaper, before adding: "Nothing is yet signed."
Dutchman Van Bommel had been holding out for a longer deal, but it seems a compromise has been found which means Bayern will keep hold of their captain and not have to pass on the armband to a new player for the second time in two seasons after Oliver Kahn retired last May.
