FIFA have announced that former Asian Football Confederation president Mohamed bin Hammam has been suspended for 90 days.
The new suspension comes after the Court of Arbitration for Sport earlier this month overturned the Qatari's lifetime ban imposed by football's global governing body.
Bin Hammam is now unable to take part in any football-related activity 'to prevent interference with the establishment of the truth in respect of a preliminary investigation', FIFA said.
The decision was taken to allow an investigation into Bin Hammam's alleged violation of FIFA's code of ethics and to gather more evidence following the CAS ruling.
"The investigation aims, among other things, to assess ... potential misconduct on behalf of Mr Bin Hammam in the light of the provisions of the FIFA Code of Ethics, and the prospects of collecting further evidence relevant to the recently closed CAS proceedings in the case of Mr Mohamed bin Hammam," a FIFA statement read.
The AFC provisionally suspended Bin Hammam earlier this month after an internal audit revealed financial wrongdoings from the organisation's former president.
