The 32-year-old winger joins the Red and Black after a career spent in the top two flights of German football.

With a resume that includes spells at FSV Mainz 05, Hannover 96, Hamburger SV and Eintracht the attacker boosts the club’s attacking stocks after the pre-season injury to Rado Majewski

Last season's loan move to Hannover 96 saw Muller play a season alongside Wanderers midfielder Pirmin Schwegler.

He became a YouTube hit two years ago when he injured his ACL doing a helicopter celebration after scoring for HSV against Augsburg.

Today Wanderers CEO John Tsatsimas said Muller will add a new dimension to the Wanderers squad.

“We are very excited to have Nicolai join us this season and can’t wait to see him on the park,” said Tsatsimas.

“Our members and fans should be very excited about this signing, Nicolai has been a top pro in Germany for many years playing in Bundesliga 1 and 2 as well as playing in the Europa League.

“We would like to welcome Nicolai into our Wanderers family and look forward to him helping us reach our goals this season.”

Nicolai will arrive in Australia in the coming days and signs on an initial injury replacement contract for Majewski.
