It’s a no-frills, back-to-basics home jersey which you can’t really go wrong with, and it certainly brings back memories of Emile Heskey’s time in the Hunter.
The “Crystal Palace Jets”-theme apparently continues into 2019/20, with Newcastle again opting for an away kit which comprises of a white-bodied shirt with a red and blue diagonal sash, typically similar to that of the Premier League club.

A fan-favourite jersey characteristic returns for 2019/20, with the club’s black third shirt sparingly incorporating gold detailing for sleeve and collar trims, reminding fans of the gold kits worn in the club’s earlier years. This strip’s already featured twice this year having been worn in each of the Jets’ FFA Cup victories thus far.
Most of the online fan reaction has been positive, with some of the best responses featured below:

These kits are fine. Happy to see the team play in it as long as they try to win the FFA cup and the A-League. Team roster is an improvement compared to start of last season so here's hoping.
