The Brazillian had better things to do with his time than attend the ceremony
Luka Modric was the decisive winner of 2018 Ballon d'Or as the top players in the world were celebrated, however, Neymar decided his time was better spent streaming Call of Duty.
With the Ballon d'Or ceremony held in Paris, it had to be questioned why the PSG star was not in attendance.
Despite having the opportunity to make the easy trip to the awards ceremony, Neymar opted to stream himself playing the new Call of Duty game.

Luka Modric ended the 10-year dominance of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, becoming the first Croatian to win the Ballon d'Or.
The midfielder's role in Croatia's 2018 FIFA World Cup run to the final was seen as the key reason for his player of the year triumph.
After moving to Paris from Barcelona in 2017 for over AUD$340,000,000, Neymar was tipped to soon be the best player in the world.
However, despite PSG's league success the Brazilian only received 19 votes and finished 12th in the Ballon d'Or compared to Modric's 753 votes.
Rumours circled days before the ceremony that Modric was set to win the award with many players deciding not to attend the night, including Cristiano Ronaldo and Antoine Griezmann who finished second and third respectively.
With Neymar not in the conversation to win the award this year who can blame him from taking a moment away from superstardom to improve his kill/death ratio.
