The Nike GS 2 boot is constructed using renewable and recycled materials, optimised to reduce weight and waste and topping the scales at just 160 grams for the size 9.

The traction plate is made primarily from castor beans while the sock liner is made from 100 per cent castor beans.

Boot laces, lining and tongue are made from a minimum of 70 per cent recycled materials and the toeboard and collar feature at least 15 per cent recycled materials.

Anatomically positioned studs are designed to maximize speed in multiple directions while the anatomical and asymmetrical heel counter and heel bucket locks the foot down for stability and support. The counter is made of Pebax® Rnew, derived from castor bean oil.

Stars set to pull on a pair this season will include Theo Walcott, Eden Hazard, Raheem Sterling, Mario Goetze, Christian Eriksen and El Shaarawy.

Nike GS 2 will be available from www.nikestore.com.au and Nike Melbourne Central at RRP $300.  Pre-sales started on Saturday with boots available for delivery from December 1.
