With 12 rounds of the domestic competition completed, undefeated Sydney have taken three points from every team in the A-League except Brisbane and Melbourne City.

Ninkovic feels that if Sydney can maintain their current form they can add Roar to the win column.

“Yes, that’s true it’s only Brisbane and Melbourne City,” he said. “It’s going to be a very tough game tonight especially after playing Adelaide on Monday. Brisbane have had two more days to recover and they have very good players. But for us confidence is high the atmosphere is good in the squad and we want to win tomorrow and take another three points.”

The last time Sydney and Brisbane met the Sky Blues squandered several chances and could only manage a 1-1 draw and Ninkovic is hopeful that history will not repeat itself tonight.

“Last time we played we should have scored three goals and taken three points from Brisbane,” he said. “But this is football and you never know if you are going to score and we took only one point. Brisbane have playing very well and we have also been playing well and so we are going to have a very interesting game.”

The build up to tonight’s game featured Brisbane coach John Aloisi confidently predicting that the Roar would put an end to the Sky Blues unbeaten run, but Ninkovic wasn’t so sure.

“Yeah, he’s a coach and he has his opinion and maybe it’s normal, but at 10 pm tonight we will see if he is right or not,” he said.

“This is football you never know what can happen tomorrow. If we play like we did in the second half against Adelaide or the second half against Perth I think it will be very, very, difficult to beat us.

“For us it’s very important to work hard. Now we know that every team wants to beat us and give more than 100% to beat us and that’s why we need to play every game better and better.”
