Victory moved up to fifth on the ladder with a come-from-behind 3-2 win away to Wellington Phoenix on Sunday.

The result makes it two wins in three games for Victory, who had started the 2017/18 campaign with six games without a triumph.

"We had a good performance today but we need to find the form to keep going," Valeri told Fox Sports.

"It's a big game next Friday."

Victory rallied from a 2-0 half-time deficit against the Phoenix, with strikes from Besart Berisha, a Goran Paracki own goal and James Troisi turning it around.

Valeri insisted there was never any panic in the Victory changerooms at half-time.

"I thought we started very well," he said.

"The fact we were 2-0 down, we had minimal lapse in concentration and conceded two fantastic goals.

"But we knew we had it in us to come back. We showed that in the end.

"I think we created alot more chances. It's very positive going into a tough game next week."

The triumph marked the first time all season Victory had scored more than two goals in a game, having netted nine goals in eight games coming into the clash.

"We're creating chances. That's the positive thing," Valeri said.

"Collectively we're missing them but as long as we're hitting the target.

"It was a great perofmrance today, tough conditions here in Wellington. They always put up a good fight."
