SYDNEY-BORN Kyle Nix has returned to Mansfield Town after his 'chance in a lifetime' trial at Sparta Rotterdam came to nothing.
The 24 year old - who still hopes to win a Socceroos spot - landed one of the biggest breaks of his career when the Dutch second division side went looking for him last month.
But yesterday the former Bradford City midfielder - and ex-Manchester United and Aston Villa youth player - was back at Mansfield after his Dutch dreams came to nothing.
"It didn't work out for me in Holland," he told the Leicester Mercury. "I only trained once and played 45 minutes but it was still a great experience.
"It was something I had to give a go. They are a massive club. It was something that only comes up once, the chance of a lifetime."
