Broich didn’t rule out a switch to another club when asked whether it was his last game in the A-League.

“We’ll see, if a great opportunity presents itself, I’m the last one to say no to playing on, I love Australia, everyone knows that,” Broich said post-match.

“I still enjoy the A-League so the next few weeks shouldn’t take too long one way or the other.

“Nothing too concrete has been offered. In football there’s a lot of talk, unless there’s an offer or an actual contract to sign then I don’t call it an offer.”

It was reported during the week Broich was open to an opportunity in Thailand after Roar were thumped 3-0 by Muang Thong United on Wednesday night.

Broich brought up the fact his former teammate and friend Matt Smith was playing for Thai side Bangkok Glass.

He also didn’t back away from the idea of playing in Thailand.

“My friend Smithy is playing in Bangkok and it’s a pretty exciting city,” he said.

“I’m also a bit of an adventurer so I wouldn’t mind. It was a pretty interesting experience there, good atmosphere at the stadium and a nice city to live in so why not.”

Broich was also humble about comments dubbing him as the A-League’s most effective import.

His former teammate, Kosovan Besart Berisha scored the only goal of the game to seal Victory’s meeting with Sydney FC next week and he used him as an example.

“It’s obviously nice when people compliment you but it’s a very tough discussion and it would be unfair to other players like Bessy (Besart Berisha) who scored the winner again today,” Broich said.

“He might lead his team to another championship so let’s just say there’s many good players in this league and I’m happy people call me one of them.”
