The French Football Federation have denied receiving a claim for compensation from Raymond Domenech, the coach who presided over Les Bleus' shambolic World Cup campaign.
A report in Spanish newspaper AS this morning suggested Domenech was to seek two million euros in compensation from the FFF for having installed Laurent Blanc as his replacement before his contract officially ended on July 31.
However, a statement on www.fff.fr today read: "Following information circulated in Spain that Domenech is seeking two million euros in damages from the FFF, the French Football Federation denies having received any claim whatsoever from the former coach."
Blanc was named as Domenech's successor before the World Cup, which ended in humiliation for the French as they bowed out in the first round following a campaign dogged by indiscipline and infighting.
He was officially unveiled in the position at the start of this month.
