OLYROO midfielder Neil Kilkenny has aggravated an old injury but is expected to resume training in a matter of days, not weeks.
The Australian damaged an ankle in Leeds United's play-off defeat by Millwall at the end of last week and has missed the club's pre-season games so far.
Leeds are currently on tour in Ireland where they will play two matches before heading back to West Yorkshire.
Leeds boss Simon Grayson told the Yorkshire Evening Post: "Killa rocked his ankle on Thursday when we had a practice match. He's had an injection and needs to rest it for four or five days. It's nothing major."
Kilkenny played a big part in Leeds' push to the play-offs last season and found himself the subject of a pre-season bid from United's Yorkshire rivals Doncaster Rovers.
