Ajax captain Klaas Jan Huntelaar will not undergo an operation on his torn ankle tendon.
After deliberating with medics, the 25-year-old Holland striker has opted to let the ankle heal naturally rather than go under the knife.
He is expected to be sidelined until the winter break, whereas surgery would have kept him out of action for around three months.
The former Heerenveen frontman sustained the problem during the 5-2 Eredivisie win over Sparta Rotterdam on November 9.
