To see the FFA's goodwill trip to a South African school...

Rukavytsya has been freed by Dutch outfit FC Twente after spending the second half of last season on loan with Belgian club Roeselare.

But the former Perth Glory striker won't be rushing back to the A-League any time soon and knows the World Cup is the ultimate shop window for a player looking to get fixed up.

"I definitely want to stay in Europe and see what clubs are interested," Rukavytsya told SBS.

"There have been a few but nothing concrete. I just left Australia a year and a half ago and I am pretty young so I want to give it a shot in Europe. It is still tough being by yourself in Europe but it is what it is all about, that is where the football is."

The youngster knows that the world will be watching and that many a career has been made on the back of a good showing at the World Cup.

He added: "I'm not really disappointed to leave Twente because now it puts me in a good position with the World Cup coming up."
