The 31-year-old Sydney FC defender, who won the Joe Marston Medal for best afield in Saturday night's Grand Final victory over Melbourne, is on the verge of a loan deal with the Korean club.

Colosimo told Fox Sports: "I leave for Seoul tomorrow so I will be there on Monday just to finalise things and hopefully be back on the park next weekend playing for them."

The former Manchester City man admitted being part of the Socceroos squad at the World Cup was his motivation for the move.

"It's too much of a great thing, the World Cup, that I need to do it, I'll celebrate with a Powerade tonight," he said.

Colosimo also added he wasn't looking beyond that goal, despite rumours of a move to new franchise Melbourne Heart for the next A-League season.

"I'm not even worried that far ahead, now after the Grand Final and minor Premiership, my main focus is definitely South Africa."
