Adelaide United coach Marco Kurz has been praised for his gruelling training sessions, with the Reds emerging as a major threat two weeks out from the A-League season.
Adelaide, who have yet to concede in pre-season, booked their second straight FFA Cup finals appearance last night after a 2-0 win over Victorian NPL side Bentleigh Greens.
Fox Sports pundit and former Reds boss, John Kosmina, gave a nod to the German taskmaster and suggested other coaches were too "soft" on their players.
“We’re too easy on the kids in this country,” Kosmina told Fox Sports post-match.

Adelaide’s players have been undergoing double sessions and clocking up the kilometres ahead of the 2018/19 campaign.
It was a similar story last season when the Reds finished 5th but Kosmina said he was expecting more from the side in Kurz’s second year in charge.
“Adelaide did burn out a little bit in the second half (of last) season (but) he might be able to manage their conditioning a little bit better this time,” Kosmina said.
“(The players) have respect for him. He’s got them playing good football. Tactically he’s got them set up very very well. The midfield rotations are good, the fullbacks get wide when they need to.
“They’re a good team to watch, they play some good football. But unlike this pre-season they conceded silly goals last year.”

Fellow pundit, Mark Bosnich agreed: “You can see that side is very very hungry, they all want to play, they enjoy their football…They’re a dark horse for me this season to win the whole thing.”
The Reds were without key personnel for the semi-final clash with both Craig Goodwin and Ryan Kitto out of action.
But while Kurz praised the professionalism of the performance, and the developing partnership between captain Isaias and new German import Mirko Boland, he remained circumspect.
“For pre-season our aim was to reach the final and now we can start focusing on the first (A-League) home game in two weeks,” he said.
“The attitude and performance of the boys was very professional. We played good, the only mistake we scored not enough goals.
“I think we can score a lot more goals, but it’s okay. It’s not easy to play an NPL team and Bentleigh is a very good team. They’re very strong."
