Bolton captain Kevin Nolan has offered to apologise to a critical fan after he confronted the supporter at the end of Saturday's goalless draw with West Brom.
The former England Under-21 midfielder lost his cool as he made his way off the pitch at Reebok Stadium after hearing abuse from the Wanderers follower.
"One of our fans was having a go and we had a few words," Nolan told the Daily Mail.
"He was upset, I was upset and it got heated. I shouldn't have done it. I'd like to see him now to apologise.
"I won't tell you what he shouted. But I called him down to say, 'Come on, you explain to me what we're doing wrong'.
"I knew it was wrong straight away and I walked away. I'm an emotional lad and I love this club. I genuinely wanted to know what more he wants me to do?
"I'm running my socks off and trying my best. But fans pay to watch us win and have a right to have a go."
