K-League performer North and his colleagues enjoyed a lighter training session on Sunday and the former Newcastle Jets skipper expected the Uzbeks to be on a high after their 4-0 triumph on Saturday night.

"Going by the results (overnight), they're a heavyweight team for me personally,"  North, told AAP.

"They're going to come here and give it to us so we've got to be prepared for that.

"Obviously Pim (coach Verbeek) has put the pressure on us this week just to say this team's no walkover.

"I know the media has been saying it's going to be a goal fest for Australia but I don't think that's going to be the way."

Should the Socceroos win on Wednesday night and Bahrain and Qatar draw, Pim Verbeek's men will be guaranteed a spot at World Cup 2010 with more than a year to spare.
