JADE North cannot wait for his Wellington Phoenix debut this evening and sees no reason why his new team shouldn't be gracing the A-League finals again this season.
Despite having only had limited training time with Phoenix since arriving from Norway, North cannot wait to get out on the pitch.
He's always looking forward to linking up with former Newcastle Jets colleague Andrew Durante once again.
And as for the team, North is full of confidence about what can be achieved this season.
"Obviously Dura's an experienced player, he's a leader of the team and they had a fantastic year last year," he told The Dominion Post.
It'll be good to play with him again but there's a lot of good boys in the team, they're a bunch of great lads, so I think that's what got them into the finals last year. I can't see why we can't do it again this year."
North struggled to break into the first team at Tromso and at this stage he isn't sure whether he will have another go in Europe.
"You never know what's around the corner. Football, you just never know where it takes you so we'll just wait and see. I just want to concentrate on playing well here, get myself fit and see where it takes me after that," he added.
