OLYROOS coach Graham Arnold has hinted Jets skipper and Olyroo over-age player Jade North could usurp Mark Milligan as Australia's Olympic team captain.
Speaking at this morning's squad announcment, Arnold said a decision will be made in around two weeks as to who wears they Olyroo armband.
"I haven't settled on it as yet," said Arnold. "Obviously Jade North is a candidate but we'll settle on that once we get to Beijing."
Milligan skippered Australia throughout the qualifiers. However, fitness over the last few months has been a concern as the former Sydney FC star has endured bouts of injury as well as being clubless since the end of the last A-League season.
North, meanwhile, has impressed just about everyone involved in the Socceroos with his stellar displays in a winning World Cup round three qualification campaign.
