The Northern NSW State League continues this weekend with four well balanced clashes in Round 7 of the Hunter's premier club competition.
All the fixtures take place on Sunday, with arguably the match of the round seeing second placed Valentine Phoenix hosting top of the table Broadmeadow Magic at Cahill Oval.
After being caught on points at the top by Phoenix last weekend, Magic will be keen to extend their lead again knowing they have a fixture in hand over their rivals due to a postponed fixture in round 6.
Broadmeadow will be without Brad Waters who is on trial with North Queensland Fury, whilst Scott Pettit is also out.
Elsewhere, West Wallsend welcome local rivals Edgeworth Eagles to Varley Park.
The Eagles made a significant coup during the week, signing Damien Zane from Rockdale.
Both teams sat out round 6 due to Newcastle's inclement weather, so should come in fresh and firing.
Weston Workers Bears FC are at home to Hamilton Olympic.
The Bears were one of the only teams to get on the paddock last weekend, suffering a 2-1 defeat to Valentine Phoenix.
Hamilton played their catch up fixture midweek, succumbing to their fourth draw in six matches, this time 2-2 with South Cardiff.
Wins have been few and far between for these two sides so far this year, so both teams are desperate for the three points.
Finally, Toronto Awaba travel to Ulinga Oval to take on South Cardiff.
Still without a point this year, Toronto will be missing Troy Halpin who is out suspended.
The young South Cardiff outfit have proven tricky customers to most opponents this year and should put in another strong effort at home.
