Toronto Awaba's home clash against West Wallsend, as well as Valentine Phoenix's away trip to Hamilton Olympic were both washed out, meaning only two games went ahead as planned.

At Wanderers Oval, Broadmeadow Magic slumped to a surprise defeat at the hands of South Cardiff.

To their credit, the Gunners had the better of the opportunities in the opening 45 with Jamie Subat in particular coming close to opening the scoring.

Broadmeadow looked better in the second half but, down to ten men after goalkeeper Scott Carter saw red, fell victim to Jarryd Johnson's 88th minute strike.

At Thomas and Coffey Park Edgeworth Eagles remained undefeated in season 2009 when they disposed of Weston Workers Bears FC 2-0.

A sublime bicycle kick from the edge of the 18-yard-box from former Socceroo Sean Babic opened the scoring for the away team before Andrew Myles' 73rd minute goal sealed the win.

The win for the Eagles keeps them in the box seat to claim the minor premiership whilst the Bears, who are one of only two teams to have played their full complement of matches, have it all to do if they're to see semi final football this year.
