Both the minor premiership and the fourth and final playoff place will be decided on a dramatic final day of the season as results in Round 20 of the Northern NSW State League left the competition teetering on a knifes edge.
Not until the final whistle in round 21 will Valentine Phoenix and Edgeworth Eagles supporters know which club has claimed first place.
Both clubs are on 41 points after 20 fixtures, with Valentine ahead only courtesy of a slender goal difference.
Phoenix maintained their lead over Edgeworth with a 3-1 triumph over Weston Workers Bears FC at Thomas and Coffey Park.
However, Edgeworth kept their title hopes alive with a 5-1 thumping away to Toronto Awaba.
Broadmeadow Magic slipped up away to West Wallsend 4-1 in a defeat that now pushes them outside the top four and into fifth place.
However, they'll have every chance of redemption in the final round when they face South Cardiff in what shapes as a cracker at Ulinga Oval.
South Cardiff let a 3-1 lead slip away to Hamilton Olympic to ultimately draw 3-3, leaving themselves needing at least a point against the Magic this weekend if they're to hang onto fourth spot.
Hamilton's fight back means they've secured their spot in the finals series, with the fact the Gunners and Magic meet in the final round resulting in the Darling Street Oval club knowing they're semi-finals spot's on the final day of the regular season.
