Away to South Cardiff, first half strikes to Ben Murrell and Blake Glennie proved enough for Toronto in their 2-1 triumph over the Gunners.

Kane Goodchild did manage a second half consolation for Steve Piggott's men, however it proved too little too late and the Stags finally got off the mark in season 2009.

Hamilton Olympic romped to an emphatic 8-1 away win over Weston Workers Bears FC at Thomas and Coffey Park, scoring four goals in each half.

Chris Berlin, Keegan Wolfenden and Murray Fletcher all bagged braces, with John Majurovski and an own goal contributing to the blow out.

Bears striker Jason Cowburn got one back for the Bears in the second stanza, but was later sent off for dissent.

Elsewhere, Valentine Phoenix jumped to the top of the table with a 1-0 home victory over Broadmeadow Magic.

Dave Hodgson scored the only goal of the game at Cahill Oval, with some great keeping by Chris Bowling keeping Magic's attempts to overturn the deficit at bay.

Finally, Edgeworth Eagles won their local derby away to West Wallsend 2-1.

The Bluebells took a first half lead courtesy of John Stojanovski, however Edgeworth equalised into the second 45 through Andrew Myles before Alex Johnson-Young headed home to see the Eagles steal the points from the Varley Park faithful.
