Norwich have confirmed the signing of Johan Elmander from Galatasaray on a season-long loan.
The 32-year-old Sweden international striker returns to English football two years after leaving Bolton Wanderers for Turkey.
Elmander has played 52 games for Galatasary in all competitions, but the opportunity to return to the Premier League was impossible to turn down.
During his previous spell in English top flight Elmander scored 18 goals, and he is looking forward to get back among the goals for Chris Hughton's side.
"I'm very happy - I'm really looking forward to starting training with the lads and to playing some games also," he told the club's official website.
"I know Norwich City has great fans and there's a great atmosphere in the stadium, plus I know a couple of players here already too.
"I'm very glad that the deal has been done and now I'm looking forward to the season ahead."
Hughton was also thrilled to have completed a deal for the Elmander - his third new arrival in attack since the end of last season, after the purchases of Gary Hooper and Ricky van Wolfswinkel.
"I’m really delighted to bring in a player of Johan’s experience," the manager stated. "Not only at club and Premier League level but as a current international. It’s great to welcome him to our squad."
