Rogic burst into the side, laying on Celtic's opening goal with a visionary pass into open space for Kris Commons to blast home in the first hald.

Despite just joining the club days earlier, Rogic put in a full 90 minutes, earning plaudits from the local press who named as the pick of the players in Inverness on Saturday.

Now Rogic hopes to push on and nail down a regular starting spot.

Celtic fielded an experimental side against second-placed Inverness ahead of the crucial Champions League clash with Juventus on Tuesday night (Wednesday morning, Australia time).

Rogic arrived too late from Central Coast Mariners to earn a place in the Champions League squad but he's eager to impress coach Neil Lennon at any chance he gets.

"I got into the club a week ago, so I can't have any complaints," said Rogic after his impressive debut.

"But you go out every game trying to make a statement, I guess, and show him what you can do. I will keep working on the training pitch and the coach will see me every day, so I will keep going.

"It's a different style over here, so it might take me a little while before I get used to it and before I can play my best football, but I am quite happy with my first game.

"I think it was a good performance all round from the team."

He added:  "Obviously a lot of players were rested .

"But I think we still had a pretty strong squad and there were some very good players guiding me through the match, which made it a lot easier."
