Five NSW-based players made it through to the final of the 'Where's The Next?' trials and took one step nearer to a dream football trip.
A swelteringly hot day at Football NSW HQ at Valentine Sports Park saw 100 young hopefuls put through their paces by the WTN? team across a range of disciplines.
The NSW winners were (pictured, standing L to R) Troy Eedy (4th), Reece Diaz (5th), Mario Ghobrial (3rd) and Nathan Denham (1st) & (sitting L to R) Ben Bronneberg (2nd) and Mark Kurlapski (reserve, 6th).
A special "big up" (apparently that's what the kid's say...) goes to 16 year-old Mark Kurlapski, who ran two seconds quicker than Archie Thompson's time over the obstacle course test - a blistering 17.47 seconds.
The NSW boys join winners from the recent Auckland trial at the final event which will take place at Bob Jane Stadium in Melbourne on Sunday 23rd September.
The finalists will be competing for a “money can’t buy” experience including flying to Europe to watch a Champion’s League, Serie A, Spainsh League or EPL game; heading on to Italy to Nike’s football boot factory to be fitted out by Nike’s boot specialists; and then flying to the UK to meet one of Nike’s Pacific football stars playing in the EPL.
