Proceedings commence at 6:00 pm on Saturday evening as a rather luckless West Sydney Berries host an in-form Manly United FC. The Berries were tipped as one of the dark horses for 2010 though a rather bumpy start to the season, not aided by a number of injuries, has rendered the side's task at hand all the more challenging. Coming off a 1-0 loss at Blacktown City, John Calleja's men can draw on many positives from the match, though will need to get some cohesion in the final third.

The visiting Manly United FC collected a morale boosting last minute win against Sydney Olympic in Round 5, though most pleasing for coach Phil Moss is the return to first team action for experienced front-pairing Craig Midgley and Robbie Cattanach. Manly United has been starved of their main goal-getters in the early part of the season, arguably the main reason for some narrow losses thus far this season. With both sides having much to play for, fireworks are expected at the Sydney Olympic Athletic Centre on Saturday night.

Down at WIN Stadium, a red hot South Coast Wolves outfit will rate their chances of springing an upset when the League leaders Blacktown City FC come visiting. The Wolves have shown their ability to mix it the league's best thus far, though have lacked the killer punch until last weekend. Trevor Morgan's men out ran and outplayed Bankstown City Lions at Jensen Park, with a performance described by Lions player/coach Peter Tsekenis as the best side his team has faced in 2010.

Blacktown City FC provides a different proposition as the unbeaten Seven Hills outfit continues to grow from strength to strength with experienced campaigners Tolgay Ozbey, Luke Roodenburg and Mirko Jurlj leading the charge. With four wins and a draw to show from their opening five matches, the Wolves will be in for a mighty challenge on Sunday evening - kick-off set for 6:30 pm.

At Bonnyrigg Sports Club, the White Eagles play host to a struggling Bankstown City Lions. Brian Brown's men were relentless in disposing of Sydney United last weekend, and will again have Daniel Severino, Jamie McMaster and Brad Boardman pulling the strings in the final-third. An interesting match-up will be that of Shane Webb, expected to start out of midfield for the White Eagles, against his former club the Lions for the first time.

Tsekenis' Lions have struggled in the defensive third from the start of the season, illustrated largely by their results to-date. Richard Luksic and Tsekenis will need to add some stability across the backline, as the front third appears strong with the influence of playmaker Robbie Mileski. Almir Dizdaric will also be in for a rowdy reception when he returns to his old stomping ground, the tall striker will be needed by the Lions to get their season back on track.

Sutherland Sharks play host to A.P.I.A.-Leichhardt Tigers in a must win match for both sides. The Sharks sit three-points clear of the Tigers, though really need to capitalise on home ground advantage this weekend to remain in touch with the top-half of the ladder. A narrow defeat against Marconi Stallions was highly disappointing for Robbie Stanton's men, considering the large number of opportunities squandered during the 90' minutes.

The Tigers on the other hand are still win-less after five matches, and only have a point on the board to show for their efforts. Luke McGuire's men have shown positive signs in recent weeks, and really should have secured maximum points against Rockdale City Suns last weekend. Once more, Robbie Younis is expected to spearhead the front-line, with the recent signing of Pablo Cardozo expected to pay dividends as the striker settles in.

The local derby between Marconi Stallions and Sydney United promises to be another epic blockbuster between these two former NSL sides. Both sides started 2010 in promising fashion, though the Reds have fallen in recent weeks with successive draws and a recent loss against Bonnyrigg White Eagles at home proving to be their undoing.

Lee Sterrey's men proved they can play through spells on the back foot and still grind out results last weekend at Sutherland, a characteristic of all the biggest football sides in the world. With the final third getting things right for the Fairfield side in recent weeks, a huge mention must be made of goalkeeper James Chronopoulos' recent form. The Stallions number 1 has been in instrumental form, testament of the side's standing on the League ladder.

Sydney United enter this clash with much to prove following their recent run of win-less weekends. Player/coach David Zdrilic will be without captain Joe Vrkic and striker Luka Glavas following their dismissals last weekend, though the side's main goal will be to get a stronghold in midfield via the feet of Steve Hayes and Ivo Bosnar. Up-front, new signing Mirjan Pavlovic will be expected to start - the burly striker proved his ability with a workmanlike performance against Bonnyrigg last weekend in his first match for the club, and will certainly settle into the squad with more game time.

It's not panic stations yet, though Sydney Olympic's home clash with Rockdale City Suns is a must win match for Pat Marando's Blues. Much has been expected of Sydney Olympic this season, though following their opening round win, the side has managed only one additional point leading into this round 6 encounter.

Marando will need the services of experienced campaigners Andre Gumprecht and Phillip Makrys to help the side bounce back from the heart-breaking loss in the 90' minute at Manly United last weekend, meanwhile playmaker Chris Triantis will again be called upon to pull the strings out of midfield.

The Suns have enjoyed their start to the season in the top-flight with some fine performances to-date. Mile Todoroski's men sit on 6-points, two ahead of Sydney Olympic, and have a strong chance of pressuring the teams above them in case of victory on Monday afternoon.
